Our West Sulawesi babirusa, Meru, is always well-behaved for his routine tusk trims- that is if some well-deserved pets are involved. Tusk trims are an important part of this species' healthcare at the Zoo, as they ensure these beautiful tusks don't grow too long and pose safety risks.
